Minus5º Ice Bar opening this weekend on I-Drive

A new bar is debuting along Orlando’s International Drive this weekend and it may be the coolest bar along the tourist corridor — literally.

Minus5º Ice Bar — where everything inside the bar is made of ice — will open to the public on April 26 in a 2,660-square-foot space at the Pointe Orlando shopping-dining-entertainment complex near the Orange County Convention Center. The bar will host a grand opening event for special guests on May 8.

The new bar so far has created 15 new jobs, with plans to potentially hire up to 25 people. It also brings another nightlife option for the convention and tourist crowd.

Minus5º will join Ra Sushi and Blue Martini as new tenants to the 410,000-square-foot Pointe Orlando.

And if convention-goers think about stopping by for a drink, be prepared to wear a parka. According to the bar’s website, guests will be provided “gloves and a warm parka or faux fur coat” as they enjoy the icy surroundings. See the video below for more about Minus5º Ice Bar.
